They are committed to working with partners in health and social care education, early years and community and youth work settings.

NE-Generation – Outstanding Statutory Youth Service Team
NE-Generation is seeking to create a shift in the way the cultural sector works with young people across the region. The programme is 15 cultural projects co-commissioned by young people working with 90 organisations, 300 practitioners and 4000 young people not to mention 175,000 audience members. NE-Generation is funded by Legacy Trust UK an independent charity set up to create a lasting cultural legacy from London 2012.

Brathay Trust – Outstanding Voluntary Youth Sector Team
Brathay Trust specialises in engaging and inspiring young people, many of whom are experiencing difficulties in their lives. They use a range of specialist methods and tools, including community based and residential development youth work, creative outdoor activities and peer mentoring, to support their work.
GHP Design - Most Exciting Youth Project
GHP Design is a graphic design partnership offering exceptional creativity, friendly personal service and tight budgetary control. The three partners were once the in-house design and print studio at Traidcraft and therefore have specialist knowledge of fair trade matters and the promotional requirements of voluntary organisations and groups.
Reserve Forces and Cadets in the North of England – Youth Worker of the Year
Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for the North of England provides a link between the military organisations and the local community. It raises awareness of the benefits to Reservists and employers, which can be gained through part-time soldiering or by being a member of the Cadet Forces, either as an adult instructor or a cadet.

Regional Youth Work Unit – North East – Lifetime Achievement or Outstanding Contribution
Established in 1989, The Regional Youth Work Unit—North East works across the North East of England to promote and support the development of youth work. The RYWU-NE is a focal point for both statutory and voluntary youth sector services to share information, highlight best practice, and co-ordinate the development of youth work and youth services. In 2003 we became a company limited by guarantee, and in 2004, a registered charity.
