NE-Generation presents: So What Now?

Charter

Next month, NE-Generation is hosting ‘So What Now?’ which will consider the future for young people in the arts and cultural sector.

NE-Generation firmly believes in the importance of arts and culture in the lives of young people and wants to consider how everyone can continue to ensure quality work for the future, and how the Young People’s Charter for Arts and Culture might provide a resource to artists and organisations across the North East.

There will be stories of good practice from projects within the NE-Generation programme. There will be provocations, insight and debate from the wider cultural sector, including a Critical Conversation in conjunction with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation on Participatory Arts.

NE-Generation will share its journey, giving you the chance to hear from the young people who developed the Young People’s Charter for Arts and Culture as they explore the process behind it and its practical applications. Then, the group will consider how everyone can move forward together.

The event takes place on Thursday 28 February, 9.30am-4pm in the Great Hall at the Discovery Museum.

The day is free to attend, but places are limited. Please download a booking form and forward it to victoria@rywu.org.uk by 13 Febraury 2013.
