NEYN Teambuilding Day

The North East Youth Network had an amazing team building day on Tuesday 2nd August at South Shields Water Activity Centre and Simonside Centre for activities for young people. The group participated in water sports activities in the morning and then indoor wall climbing in the afternoon. The group will be starting to develop projects within the region in the coming months and found the day as a real opportunity to get to know each other while flying around the North sea on jet ski’s and climbing walls of up to 30 feet!

The North East Youth Network have also developed a good working relationship with the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS). NCVYS have a national youth forum called ENVOY and the Network are pleased to announce that it has two of it’s members sitting on this national forum.

The Network also overlapped with the somewhereto_ programme the Unit are coordinating as Nadia from the network won a trip to T4 on the Beach courtesy of a national somewhereto_ contest through channel 4.
