Voluntary Sector

The Regional Youth Work Unit supports work in the voluntary sector in 3 main ways.

(1) It co-ordinates the Regional Forum for Voluntary Youth Organisations, which acts as a conduit through which local voluntary youth sector organisations and forums can have representation at regional and national level. More information: click here

(2) It provides support to local forums for organisations working with children and young people, and encourages local representatives to attend the Regional Forum. More information: click here

(3) It contributes to a number of strategic regional forums which are of relevance to the voluntary youth sector. More information: click here

(4) NCVCCO has contracted the Unit to develop the DfES VCS Engage Programme in the North East. More information: click here
