Workforce Development

Workforce Development is the ‘ skills, knowledge and behaviours that are needed by the workforce to deliver services both now and in the future and how these will be resourced.’ The development of the youth workforce has become an increasingly important issue over the past few years.

The Unit has written a Regional Youth Workforce Strategy for the North East, and has coordinated the Regional Training and Development Group for over 15 years.
